High-Temperature Strength
Designed for applications where strength retention at elevated temperatures is a key material-selection factor.
Nickel–Chromium–Cobalt–Molybdenum Alloy · High-Temperature Service
INCONEL® alloy 617 is a solid-solution-strengthened nickel-chromium-cobalt-molybdenum alloy combining high-temperature strength with oxidation resistance. Its high nickel and chromium contents support resistance in a range of reducing and oxidizing environments, while cobalt and molybdenum contribute solid-solution strengthening.
UNS N06617 / W. Nr. 2.4663
Designed for applications where strength retention at elevated temperatures is a key material-selection factor.
Chromium and aluminum contribute to oxidation resistance during high-temperature exposure.
The alloy resists a range of corrosive environments; suitability depends on the process chemistry and operating conditions.
The alloy can be formed and welded using conventional techniques, with procedures selected for the required product and application.
Selected combustion cans, ducting and transition liners in aircraft and land-based gas turbines.
Heat-treating baskets and selected high-temperature furnace components.
Selected catalyst-grid supports and equipment exposed to demanding process environments.
Selected components for fossil-fuel and nuclear power-generation systems.
