INCOLOY® Alloy 800 / 800H

Nickel–Iron–Chromium Alloys · High-Temperature Service

INCOLOY® alloy 800 and alloy 800H are related nickel-iron-chromium alloys used in selected high-temperature and corrosive environments. Alloy 800 is valued for heat resistance, oxidation and carburization resistance, while 800H uses controlled carbon and grain-size requirements to provide improved creep and rupture strength. The designations are related but not interchangeable.

Key Performance Characteristics

UNS N08800 / N08810

01

High-Temperature Service

Used in selected process and heating equipment exposed to elevated temperatures.

02

Oxidation & Carburization Resistance

The alloy family is designed to resist oxidation, carburization and other forms of high-temperature corrosion.

03

Creep & Rupture Strength

INCOLOY® 800H is distinguished by controlled carbon and grain-size requirements that improve creep and rupture performance compared with alloy 800.

04

Fabrication

Alloy 800 can be formed, welded and machined using established procedures selected for the product form and application.

Typical Application Areas

Industrial Furnaces

Selected furnace components, heat-treating baskets, trays and fixtures.

Petrochemical Processing

Selected cracker tubes, pigtails, headers and high-temperature process piping.

Heat Exchangers

Selected heat exchangers and process systems requiring heat and corrosion resistance.

Power Generation

Selected steam-superheater tubing and other high-temperature equipment.
